This felt star garland was made by an artisan who works with Mahaguthi Craft with Conscience in Nepal. Mahaguthi  is a Fair Trade organization which produces, markets and exports Nepalese crafts. Mahaguthi serves both domestic as well as international markets, This organization represents the efforts of more than one thousand individual producers, fifty percent of whom are from remote and mountainous areas. Most of the producers are women who are given the chance to employ traditional skills in their own homes, thus enabling them to generate extra income.

Global Village Nanaimo uses Canada Post for shipping, unless special arrangements are made. Our shipping rates are effective for anywhere in Canada. We are a non-profit social enterprise, and we work within a fair trade pricing model to ensure we are able to support the vendors. That means that we need to charge fees to cover the costs of the shipping.
