These baskets are the result of years of practice, tremendous technical skill and quality assurance. The weavers from Bolgatanga, Ghana spend countless hours stripping and dyeing elephant grass fibre and weaving them into patterns and colourways that are unique. The basket is biodegradable and resilient but will fade if left in the sun too long.
The colours are natural and black, although the black could be described as a very, very dark purple in some lighting.
The 2-handled baskets are ideal for many things, including storage of items like blankets, toys, shoes or yarn. The 1-handled basket is perfect for carrying .
The handles are all leather wrapped for comfort.
The large 2-handled basket is 16” across the opening at the top and is 10” tall.
The medium2-handled basket is 13” across the opening at the top and is 8” tall.
The small 1-handled basket is 8” across the opening at the top and is 5” tall

Shipping costs are listed for each item on our website. If you are purchasing more than one item and we are able to ship them together more efficiently, we will refund the difference. We are really nice people, so we will do whatever we can to keep those costs as low as possible and we will send you a refund if we can.
If you would like to pick up your package in Nanaimo, B.C, select the "PICK UP " option and there will not be any shipping fees charged
