These baskets are the result of years of practice, tremendous technical skill and quality assurance. The weavers from Bolgatanga, Ghana spend countless hours stripping and dyeing elephant grass fibre and weaving them into patterns and colourways that are unique. The basket is biodegradable and resilient but will fade if left in the sun too long.
The colours in this basket include teal, red, orange, copper, black, pink, green, brown and natural.
The basket is 14 cm deep, to the top of the rim, and the opening at the top is 22 cm across.
The handle is leather wrapped.
