These fans are the result of years of practice, tremendous technical skill and quality assurance. The weavers from Bolgatanga, Ghana spend countless hours stripping and dyeing elephant grass fibre and weaving them into patterns and colourways that are unique.
These fans are ideal for warm weather control, as they create quite a strong wind when they are waved. However, they are also stunning as wall decorations when hung in a blank space on the wall.
The colours in this fan include black and natural, although the black can look like dark blue in some lightings.
The round portion of the has a diameter of 11.5” - 12”. The handle is 6” long and is leather wrapped.
There is a woven loop at the end of the handle for hanging.
