Volunteer at GVN

Global Village Nanaimo enthusiastically welcomes volunteers who are passionate about fair trade and ethical shopping, those who want to learn more about fair trade and those looking to gain experience in the retail sector. Volunteers are important because they allow GVN to use more of our money to support fair trade producers.

We welcome students, retired seniors, and everyone in between to join us. Our schedules can be flexible and we can work with travel, school or grand-parenting commitments.  Training is provided and encouragement is plentiful.

COVID has changed the way the store operates, but we are grateful that we can still rely mostly on our volunteers. We provide the environment and tools needed for a safe workspace so our partners and our customers are comfortable in the store.
