HEED Handicrafts is a Fair Trade Organization and was established in 1978 with the aim of creating jobs and employment for the poor and marginal people, specialized in handicrafts production, using locally available environment friendly resources. Its activities operate for the purpose of improving socioeconomic condition of the producers/artisans and their associated communities. HEED Handicrafts provides training and education to improve producer skill on products and market. The activities of HEED Handicrafts are operated as a sustainable self-financed project under the guideline of the HEED Board. Presently HEED Handicrafts works on various handicrafts products

Global Village Nanaimo uses Canada Post for shipping, unless special arrangements are made.

We are a non-profit social enterprise, and we work within a fair trade pricing model to ensure we are able to support the vendors. That means that we need to charge fees to cover the costs of the shipping. We do not charge any handling costs, and we will continue to offer the most reasonable shipping costs possible, in order to cover the costs.
